Redesign [12:39 AM] August 27 2008 NfoCipher
There is a redesign coming.. It's long overdue but the old system has been holding up quite well. All the new hotness is ruby on rails and I need to get my feet wet. I can't think of a better project to redo than this one. What will that mean for all the existing user accounts, I really don't know. In my mind the best way is to just start over again. Any thoughts you may have on the subject, feel free to email me or post on the ancient message board.

New things [08:22 PM] November 01 2007 NfoCipher
I've added a couple of new things to fmip.org. First is a pastebin located at Code.fmip.org. Next there is a long-to-short url converter located at URL.fmip.org. Have fun!

FollowMeIP.com [04:30 PM] April 05 2007 NfoCipher
I have shut down followmeip.com. Due to many reasons, the big one as I stated in an earlier article - I'm not doing windows software anymore. My focus is on the Linux platform and followmeip.com is horribly dated and it's not going to be updated any time soon. FMIP.org will still be here and if you wish to continue your support feel free to use the paypal button on this page.

Interesting bash coolness [01:08 PM] January 12 2007 NfoCipher
Submitted by JP Vossen: ----- If you have bash-2.04+ compiled with --enable-net-redirections (it isn't compiled this way in Debian and derivatives), you can use bash itself as a "client:" $ exec 3<> /dev/tcp/ipserver.fmip.org/42750 $ cat <&3 ----- I'm thinking the phrase -nasty cool- comes to mind.

Linux command line utility [12:02 PM] December 01 2006 NfoCipher
In a burst of productivity I've added a fmip lite command line utility for linux. It simply reports your external ip address to you. Source and binary downloads are ready for public abuse.

Hosting [11:06 AM] October 05 2005 NfoCipher
Yes, I got the big pipe(tm). So I'm now offering hosting to the masses. Check out the goodness at ChickenWare.com. Support the project, buy some hosting!

Upgrade [08:59 PM] June 15 2005 NfoCipher
Thanks to the donations over the last month, I was able to buy a much needed memory upgrade for the fmip server. There wasn't enough to buy the big internet pipe :) Thanks guys/gals.

Wow.. [06:51 PM] May 24 2005 NfoCipher
Well, after all this time the main server croaked. It was a good box - it reported over 172 million ip addresses. The main parts of fmip are back up and running, but user dns entries are still down. Give it a little while and don't forget to click on that little donate button in the menu bar so I can get a bigger internet pipe :)
